Rebrand to craft a modern look and feel

Creating great digital experiences
Hello, I'm a transmedia Identity/UI designer living in Berlin.
Raised in the depths of underground music.
I'm a self-taught transmedia identity designer, raised and trained in the depths of obscure underground music scenes.
Currently developing UX/UI and brand startegy skills, with a focus on the hi-tech and media industries.
Even if I've been a lone wolf until this point, I'm more than keen of working in teams I can grow with and have some damn good time.
As a freelance, I operate under the moniker of Kongregant.
Improved app from my direct experience

assessment & Development
Being the platform adopted by the nightclub business I work for, that comprises two bars and a club, I've had direct experience with its usage. I've recently started working at another restaurant and they're also adopting it. I recon it's a widely used app in the sector and a big player on the German market.
Beside being pretty clunky and slow, I've realized the app had many flaws in terms of UX/UI as well, so I've seen it as an opportunity to attempt improving it as my very first case study in such field.
I've proceeded with interviewing the users whom I've had the most ease of access: my colleagues and bosses. Many other issues surfaced to light.
The main problem that most of us had in common was definitely the implementation of a proper calendar, a detailed roster and a better overview of working shifts, with the ability to navigate between them in a easy flow and access important information at a glance.
Another thing that no one addressed, but I think would be extremely useful, would be the possibility to have an internal messaging system that would allow personnel to communicate between them. Especially because of the constant flow of freshly hired people, the contacts exchange is usually left out or delayed due to shift preps chaos. Countless times I've regretted it once in my isolated wardrobe cubicle busy with crowds on the waiting queue.

rebrand
The original metime/wetime logo was still relying on the old naming, Gastromatic (edit: they just reverted to it while publishing this, the overall company naming could be better in mine and others opinion, for example it sounds more like something in the healthcare field..my guess is they went back to it since users are used to call it this way?). Both apps presented a stylized 'g' embedded on a different background color of each.
I've redesigned the logo towards the metime/wetime naming, where the 'e' of 'me' and 'we' turns into a different glyph - a way to put emphasis on the common user centric purposes of the apps while creating a fun readability contrast. It comes handy in small icons and avatars.
I reiterated the background color scheme differentiation, but this time I've used gradients, where the green of the parent company Gastromatic appears on both as a common shade.

HOME :: The Home has definitely been the page that went through the major overhaul. Now we have a main dashboard that gives us a general overview of all the useful information at a glance, allowing for an immediate understanding of when and where the upcoming shifts will happen, and making it intuitive to navigate and interact with the other main pages - the Roster/Messenger and the Calendar. Definitely a place where my short-term memory would make me come back very often.

CALENDAR :: The Calendar now allows to have an overview of active shifts during current month, get info about the people working on each day and eventually contacting them, extremely useful in case of needing to swap shift with someone.

ROSTER :: The Roster works as a sort of contact list, with all the additional info specific to the workplace. A set of editable labels is available to assign useful tags to each individual, in this case I used one of my managers wish to have everyone categorized by their specific role.

This case study caught the eye of the staff and subsequently the eye of Gastromatic Product Manager, leading to potential collaborations with their team to support their current UX/UI works in progress.
